Can you connect the receivers using composite cables instead?

Not sure exactly what a composite cable is.  The receivers are hooked up to the modulator with rca cables.

composite cables are yellow for video plus red/white for audio. I believe he wants to know if you can remove the RF modulators and connect directly to the TV.

This interference is usually caused by a ground loop, somewhere in the TV/modulator cabling. It can also be caused by selecting the wrong channel on the modulator output; e.g. setting the modulator to...

I am going to bypass the modulator tonight.  The common thread is the modulator, so I am thinking that is the problem.  I may need to replace it, or at least maybe reset to other channels.

What would cause a ground loop.  It has been working perfectly for many years.

Some change in the cabling, but not necessarily in the modulators/TVs. For example, there may have been another path to ground which is no longer there because you unplugged/replaced an appliance.try...
